 Publisher: Berkley Prime Crime Mystery

Nell Pratt, Museum President at the Society has her love life and work life on track, her and James have moved in together and she recently acquired enough funds to finish the renovations on the building their offices are in. That all gets muddled up when two eager young professionals come to ask her and the Society's aid in bringing a dilapidated neighbourhood back to life in North Philly. She then gets herself in the cross hairs of a drive-by shooting by visiting a supposed run down townhouse owned by her museum.

She knows better than to get herself involved again in another investigation but she can't help herself from asking to many questions. Instead she focuses her efforts on what the society can do to shed light on the neighbourhoods that once was the heart of the city and now are war zones. As she educates herself in the city's history she also struggles with the mandate set forth by the Society, a constant tug a war if this will be accepted and pursued by the membership. While Nell is desperately trying to find the right grounds in which to bring such a project forward, even inviting her staff to give ideas.

She also struggles with post effects of the shooting. As she desperately tries to move forward to function through the events she finds she is not alone. Although not alone she also can't let go of her independence and let her man take care of her. Finally pieces start falling into place for the project, the motive and then the murderer.

I really enjoyed this book. There should be more initiative taken in the real world to bring our bad neighbourhoods back to good. It was also a nice journey through Nell's mind. I thoroughly enjoy her as a character she is independent but can also accept help (unlike myself). Looking forward to the next Museum Mystery.

If you longing for an escape from your chaotic and hectic life and want to be on a cruise on the high seas. If you are a book fan, like myself and that cruise was a bookish cruise, geared to nothing but being able to relax with a good book, poolside, take in a show, pamper yourself or have a book by a favourite author signed or hear them talk but you can not find a cruise like this then reading Title Wave is your answer.

Haven't got a Clue, bookstore owner, Trisha Miles and her sister, cookbook author and entrepreneur, Angelica are heading on a vacation to the Authors @ Sea Cruise aboard the majestic Celtic Lady filled with two dozen authors and thousands of their readers. Thriller author, EM Barstow who has a reputation for being difficult and making trouble for cruise employees with a troubled past is to also be a guest on the ship.

Not being able to sleep in the middle of the night, Tricia ventures out on the ship to discover, EM, the thriller author in her stateroom hanging from the shower with a scarf around her neck. The ships security are quick to assume that the author committed suicide but Trisha believes she may have been murdered. Cathy Cooper, EM's editor and Dori Douglas, president of her fan club are also on board along with Arnold, known to authors and readers as the “prize pig”. Trisha also has a stalker who is sending her gifts while she wonders who this could possibly be Trisha because of her past of solving crime and reading mysteries must find out who wanted the thriller author dead.

Title Wave is an escape to murder on the high seas. I love Tricia and Angelica, they make a great team and made Title Wave a very enjoyable read as with the previous books in the Booktown Mysteries. The family drama and tension and emotion I felt for the Miles sisters also made Title Wave a page-turner that I couldn't put down. I felt that I was on the Celtic Lady along with them and I love how it totally took me away into that world. I would love to be with them Authors @ Sea Cruise, and the murder of the thriller author made it even more of a perfect escape.

I never neglect to mention that this series is one of the very first and favorite cozy mystery series I have read and Title Wave I would have to say is one of my favorites now.

The Bibliophile Mysteries are my favorites and I am working on reading them all. Filled with suspenseful and complex villains and Brooklyn and her passion for books and her job as a bookbinder is something I love about her. It's always a treat reading when Brooklyn is in her workshop repairing the books, it's a fascinating art that I love learning about with every new book.

 Author: Gayle Leeson
Series: Book 1 A Down South Cafe Mystery
 Publisher: Obsidian Mystery
 Format: Paperback
Source: Received for review from Publisher
 Rating: 5 stars
 Reviewed by: Tina

Southern hospitality, a spunky new sleuth named Amy Flowers who knows whats she wants and has to fight to over come the odds. The Calamity Cafe had me hooked from the very first page. The Oatmeal pie was a very interesting idea for a recipe. A promising new romance with a sexy police detective that will leave you wanting more with delicious food and a mystery that will leave you wondering who wanted Lou Lou, the cafe owner of Lou's Joint dead.

Amy Flowers is a waitress at Lou's Joint, a run down cafe but with a loyal following of customers. She recently came out of culinary school with a dream to open her very own cafe, called Down South Cafe, featuring Southern dishes in Winter Garden, Virginia. She wants to buy the cafe from Lou Lou, the owner who is not very well liked among her employees for taking half of everyone's tips. Lou Lou at first is reluctant to sell but soon her son, Pete Holman calls Amy wanting to meet to talk.

Amy then finds the owner, Lou Lou slumped over her desk with blood dripping from her desk pad. Later found that Lou Lou died by being hit with a blunt object, an obvious case of someone wanting Lou Lou dead. With Amy and Lou Lou in conflict over selling of the cafe, Amy becomes the number one suspect. But that doesn't mean there are not more suspects. Like her son, Pete who seems to only want to get the cafe sold to Amy to make money and Lou's Lou's other employees.

Amy proves to be quite the sleuth. When she needs to drop the cafe receipt pad for a notepad to find the one who wanted Lou Lou dead. A sweet, delicious southern mystery debut !! With interesting and zany customers/characters I can't wait to read and review the next book in the series.

Such a unique foodie concept for a new cozy mystery series. Clever dessert names and heartwarming characters made this a new and exciting first book of a new series. Winnie was such a relatable character. I totally understood her reasons for what friends she chose in her life and her love for baking and the recipes will be added to my collection. Eclair and Present Danger and this series are going to be a new favorite among cozy mystery fans, myself included.

Series:  Book 4 A Charlie McClung Mystery
 Publisher: CreateSpace Independent Publishing

Charlie and Marian arrive home from their honeymoon and are settling into married life while his parents are visiting them in Georgia. While at a party at The Primrose hosted by Marian's best friend Joan Delany a man is murdered in the woods nearby. Everybody is in shock but no one is in shock more than Marian and Charlie when the evidence starts piling up against their dear friend.

While Marian and Charlie's Ma cares for their friend, Charlie now acting Chief of Police and his Da take on the case. However where this case leads them is more shocking than they could believe. As the stories, sorted details and undeniable facts come to light Charlie, his Da and his team have their worked cut out for them.

During the murder investigation to capture the killer and clear his friend's name, a twisted connection between the top suspects come to light. Meanwhile, the murderer is progressing with a substantial victim count across multiple counties. Charlie is now feeling the pressure and believes he needs to move quickly before the outcome of this investigation changes the landscape of his life forever.

As always I love the story of Charlie and Marian, their characters are timeless. And so are the stories since I always seem to forget they are set in the 1980s...love the lack of cell phone use too. The story line in this book definitely showed a seedier side of life but also how one person could surpass it, and then again potentially be pulled back into it. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Looking forward to reading Flirting With Time.
