 Title: Off the Books
 Author: Lucy Arlington
Series: Book 5 A Novel Idea Mysteries
 Publisher: Berkley Prime Crime Mystery
 Format: Paperback
Source: Received for Review from Publisher

Literary agent, Lila Wilkins needs some inspiration where she resides in her home of Inspiration Valley, North Carolina. She works at her dream job at The Novel Idea Literary Agency where she represents mystery authors. Novel Idea is featuring some of their best authors at a bridal expo and Lila is so excited hoping for ideas for her own upcoming nuptials with police detective, Sean.

Wedded bliss is in the air, with women clamoring to get the authors autographs, hear them reading from their books and get in a crazy line up to get a physic reading from Lila's mama and bridal fashion show  also checking out the various wedding theme vendors along the way. But will the wedded bliss turn into wedding jitters for Lila along with these women's dreams of a perfect wedding when Lila finds a dead Mr.Fix it covered in wedding cake frosting in the kitchen of the Arts Centre.

Soon the truth about the dead Mr. Fix it comes out and it's not as beautiful as  brides walking down the isle when Lila discovers a connection between one of her authors Lynn and him, and more of Novel Idea's authors become tangled up and suspects in the murder. Lila's business driven and over confident boss, Bentley along with the rest of the Novel Idea Literary Agency decide to put their thinking caps on to brainstorm who the real killer could be, it's either that or one of there owns dreams of being a published writer could come to an end.

I always have to mention when a series is my favorite and this is surely one of them. I love author Lucy Arlington's imagination and endearing characters like her son,Trey and her ecentric physic medium mama. They along with Lila and the rest of the Novel Idea agents and even her boss, Bentley make it a worth while read with every new addition to the series and Off the books didn't disappoint.

Along with a great mystery it touched on a difficult and sensitive issue for women all over the world. Making it even hard for me to hate this killer. Off the books will leave you with a few tears sheded and truly a part of The Novel Idea Literary Agency family. A enjoyable mystery, with a scooter riding, determined mom, daughter, literary agent and ameture sleuth. A perfect read for book lovers.
