Mary Jane Holliday along with her boyfriend, Heath and best friend Gil(ley) hunt ghosts for a living. They have a successful reality tv show and have battled spooks all over the U.S. and Europe.
When Mary Jane comes home to Valdosta, Georgia for her father's wedding to Christine, she'll have more then just spooks to deal with. She will come to face her own demons as well as the ones haunting her new step-mother's pride and joy Porter Manor. As the death toll starts to climb and MJ comes face to face with some hard truths, she will also contemplate if she has met her match.
Mary Jane and Heath work alongside Deputy Breslow to not only face the supernatural forces wreaking havoc but also try to solve the forty five year old murder of Evert Sellers. He was a cousin to the Porter family, who one su mmer went missing off their property. Through their investigation they soon come to find out the dark secrets lingering within the walls of the Porter House and not all of them are dead or still living.
I loved the story, it has so many layers and twists. Mary Jane is a great female lead too. The characters are great, I loved Gill, his mom Mrs. G and Sarah Porter the most.
