Molly Matthews is the brand new owner the Bookstore, A Novel Plot and along with the members of the Ashton Corners Mystery Readers and Cheese Straws Society, they are preparing for The first annual Mystery Book Fair. Lizzie Turner, a member of the Mystery Readers is stunned when she finds an old college friend and rival Ashley Dixon surprisingly shows up in town for the book fair. She is a publicist for the authors that will be taking part in the book fair, Caroline Cummings, A.J. Pruitt, Margaret Farrow and Gigi Briggs.
Ashley is found dead and stashed in a coffin outside the local funeral home, when all eyes turn to Lizzie as the prime suspect because of a fiery conversation they had at the book fair and with Lizzie's cell phone found at the scene of the crime, Lizzie can't help but wonder how her cell phone got there and who could possibly try to frame her for a murder she didn't commit. The Members of the Ashton Corners Mystery Readers and Cheese Straws society then band together to try to save Lizzie before the book gets thrown at her.
This is another first book in this series I have read and I have to say it has become a favorite and now I want to go back and read this series from the beginning, Book Fair and Foul has book lovers with Southern Charm. A great cozy for fans of books about books. A favorite for me is the mystery book quotes at the beginning of each chapter and the book name dropping within the book. A Cozy mystery series about cozy mysteries will keep me coming back for more. A must read for any cozy mystery fans. I can't wait to read and review the next in this series.
