Village Cooks, a cookware and cookbook store is the place to be for chefs and cooks alike, Proprietor Bonnie Emerson is gearing up for her annual cooking contest and author book signing, Cookbookoberfest, that has her really excited. Her world as she knows it crashes around her when she finds, a body of a woman on her property. Soon Bonnie finds that the killer is out to get her, trying to send her messages, he thinks that she knows and saw what happened and Bonnie wonders why she is being targeted. Bonnie, being the daughter of a former President of the United States her father hires a security company to protect Bonnie and her family

Bonnie doubts her ability as a good mother, and blames herself for all the turmoil going on and fears that the authors agent will cancel the authors appearance at Cookbookoberfest. A murder is out there and Bonnie needs and wants her annual event at Village Cooks to go down without a hitch, so together with her many friends its up they decide to try to track down a killer.

What I loved about this story was the theme, A store where I would love to be being a cookbook and cooking fan myself. I couldn't put this one down, until it was finished, it really had me glued to my seat. I felt for Bonnie about doubting her mothering ablility, I also felt for the daughter of the murder victim. I also loved all the chef characters and how the cookbooks and food were beautifully integrated into the story . You could cut the tension with a knife in this story, I really hope to read and review the next in this series and I wish this book alot of success.
