White house Chef, Ollie Paras finds herself in hot water once again in this 7th installment of A White House Chef mysteries. Ollie and her secret agent fiance, Gav want to get married but with the backlog of the justice of the piece, they would have to wait just a few more weeks to say their "I do's". Gav has a friend and ex secret agent that he knows can preform the wedding ceremony so together him and Ollie venture there to visit him and find him along with a few others, dead. Then Gav disappears and leaves Ollie to worry and wonder what happened to him.
In the midst of all of this Ollie has a state dinner to plan and prepare at the White House but with worrying about the murder and her missing fiance and then another murder of the secretary of defence leaves Ollie to wonder if some how it is all connected. Emotions seem to be bubbling over when Virgil, the first's families private chef and Ollie have a heated disagreement in the kitchen and he is temporally put on leave.
With Vigil out of the kitchen for the time being and the sudden reappearance of Gav Ollie breaths a little sigh of relief but once again Ollie finds herself in the middle of all the chaos but Can she save the president from danger and ride off into the sunset with Gav and finally have her Happily ever after or will it all be called to a permanent halt?
The White House Chef mysteries have always been my favorite since reading State of the Onion, Julie has a way of pulling you in and never letting go. I'm such a big fan and I would like to thank Julie and Berkley for sending me this wonderful book for me to review. I can't wait for the next installment of this great series and I can, along with other fans, hope that it won't come to an end anytime soon.
