To be able to read all the great books and then review them, what a wonderful thing!

This is the fourth book in the Haunted Home Renovation Mysteries. Mel is still managing the family construction business and might have decided that she does like doing it. Mel feels that it is time to give back to the community, by helping the elderly and handicapped reno their homes and make them safer and easier for them to handle. Mel and her dad challenge one another, to see who can complete their jobs first. Dad wins this one, but only because once again, Mel has discovered a body of a woman, who happens to be connected to the "mystery house" next door, where 25 years ago a man killed his eldest daughter, his wife, and then himself. The dead woman, Linda and her young brother were the only ones to survive. Of course Mel gets pulled into the case, this time by a police investigator, Annette. Mel and Annette are a great team and I think that we may be seeing more of Annette in the future.

All of our favorites people are around, and also Mel's sister Cookie pushes herself into the middle of everything and even though she is the older sister, she behaves like a child insisting that she go every where with Mel. Even to a ghost busting class that Mel goes to.

Juliet is the author of another series, the Witchcraft Mysteries, which I find equally appealing. If you haven't yet discovered Juliet, this is the perfect time to do it, run to your local bookstore or your library and grab one of Juliet's books, I don't think you'll regret it!
